At Hotel Miramar we are setting up ready to blossom this summer. Our splendid seaside gardens always draw attention from both from passing pedestrians and our patrons and guests.
Having won countless awards from Bournemouth in Bloom, we pride ourselves on keeping the gardens in tip top condition at any time of year, but the summer is when the grounds come into their full glory.
This week our gardeners Mick and Josh have transformed the beds and borders planting up the colourful summer bedding, all of which was grown by King’s Park Nursery run by Bournemouth Borough Council.
It takes a lot of plants to make the gardens look so blooming marvellous – in fact around 3,200 begonias, 100 geraniums, 36 trays of assorted bedding, 12 hanging baskets and a set of window boxes!
David Bailey, Director at Hotel Miramar said “Many folk comment to us that looking at our summer gardens is something they do every year, whether they live locally or are visiting the town. It’s nice to know that we’ve built a reputation for our lovely gardens – and that they make such a colourful back drop for summer weddings and events as well as just a relaxing place to while away a few hours overlooking the sea with a nice bottle of something perfectly chilled!”
